Going Green

Yes, Pondering Waters is going green but not our water. Starting this 2009 season we are doing our part to help the environment by the implementation of new products and procedures. The first thing we are going to do is start by using a new fabric underlayment that is made from recycled plastic bottles. Each semi truck load of this new geotextile underlayment saves 300,000 plastic bottles from the landfills. Another product we are going to be using is LED underwater lights. These lights take less power to run than the regular Halogen bulbs we us now. Here is a list of some of the other procedures that we are implementing this season:

* Recycle all left over pond liner and hose left over from the job site.
* Use recycled printer paper for our office use
* use all fluorescent light bulbs
* shred and recycle scrap paper from office
* utilizing the computer more

These are just a few examples to get started and we are always interested in hearing more ideas that we can do to go green!
